October, thousands of tourists celebrated with watching the sun passes over the face of the statue of Pharaoh Ramses II inside the Temple of the 'Abu Simbel', south of Aswan .The happen was in a festival atmosphere included mystery with the magic Pharaonic impressive.

The Genera-lDirectorof the Abu Simbel temples " the archaeologist Ahmed Saleh Abdullah" said that tourists enjoyed their follow-up to this unique event , which occurs twice a year, the first on October 22, the birthday of King Ramses II, and the second on the day of his coronation on February 22 of each year.
As known there are thousands of tourists who are keen per year to attend.
According to "Saleh Abdullah" who mentioned that the sun passes over the face of Pharaoh Ramses II on October 22, coinciding with the onset of agriculture in ancient Egypt, but its passing on his face comes in February with the beginning of the harvest season.
He stressed that what was known about the phenomenon of the sun passes that occur on the birth day of the king and his coronation day has no scientific basis', pointing out that there was no record of birth in ancient Egypt.
While it was known that the event of sun passes over the statue of Ramses ,were taking place on 21 October and February 21 before 1964 .And after the transfer of the Temple of Abu Simbel from its old place at Al nubia to its current location within the project to save the monuments of Nubia , the event has become on 22 October and Feb. 22 and this is because the changing of the latitude and longitude after the transfer of temple 120 meters west and 60 meters h
