Last Sunday April 22 - 2012, Greenpeace Blue Shield Guards headed to Tripoli - North Lebanon to celebrate Earth Day. The Guards along with other supporters and activists carried a real Blue Shield and marched from the coast of Tripoli to the solid waste dump "Jabal El-zbeleh" in the city. The Guards carried banners that called for a cleaner industrial sector, and the immediate stop of sewage run-off and the dumping of solid waste in the sea and on the coast of Tripoli |
