Mohamed ElBaradei urges 'no' vote in Egyptian referendum

He said the compromises being offered amount to 'minutiae' and do not go far enough in offering the country the prospect of a truly democratic future
It doesn't talk about the imperial power of the president, it doesn't talk about the distortion of the parliament, it doesn't talk about the need to
have an independent constituent assembly that represents everybody,' Mr ElBaradei stated in comments reported by AFP.
Tahrir Square was filled with protesters once again yesterday, with campaigners also urging a 'no' vote.
The only political parties to show their support for the proposed constitutional changes are parts of Hosni Mubarek's National Democratic Party and the Muslim Brotherhood.
ElBaradei described the revolution against Mubarek as a 'miracle', but noted the hard work will get underway as the country attempts to move towards becoming a truly democratic state.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has said Brits who are in Egypt today should do their best to avoid public gatherings and demonstrations as the vote takes place across the country, as well as observing the instructions of local security authorities
